Housing Advocacy

What does a Housing Advocate do?

A Housing Advocate assists TRI Consumers to locate and apply for affordable and accessible housing in Dutchess County. The Advocate can provide you with applications for available housing or help you to get your name on a waiting list. The Advocate can assist you with completing necessary paperwork.

If you feel you have experienced housing discrimination due to your disAbility, the Housing Advocate can provide support in discussing the matter with the landlord. If you want to file a complaint, the Advocate can provide resources to guide you.
