Thomas Marone, President

Integrated Content Support Services Department, IBM

Tom is an Advisory Systems Analyst at IBM in Poughkeepsie.  When not on the job or volunteering with TRI, Tom enjoys watching college football and professional hockey, reading, listening to music, and playing his guitar. Tom lives in the town of LaGrange with his wife Elvira, and has three sons, Tom Jr., Brian, and Michael.

Whitney Philbrick, Treasurer

A former IBM procurement professional; First Lieutenant, USMC

Whitney has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Syracuse University and a Finance M.B.A. from Marist College. A former IBM procurement professional, Whitney also served with the United States Marine Corps as a First Lieutenant. While on active duty, he incurred a back injury that caused his disability, chronic pain. Whitney is married to fellow IBM and Marist College M.B.A., Amy Flack Philbrick, with whom he has a beautiful baby daughter. He enjoys shooting sports and flying giant scale radio-controlled model aircraft.

Jenna Lacouette, Secretary

NYCOMCO, Wireless Communications

Jenna works for her family's business, New York Communications Co. (NYCOMCO), which has been serving the Hudson Valley for over 50 years. She has a Bachelor degree in business management, a minor in finance and a concentration in Human Resources from Pace University in Manhattan. She is involved in the Special Olympics and the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Energy Committee.  She and her dog Ava currently reside in Clintondale. When not at work, Jenna spends time with friends and family.

Occupational Therapist at Dutchess ARC

Andrew has been the Supervisor for the Occupational Therapy Program at the Dutchess ARC Article 16 Clinic since 2000. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Andrew currently resides with his wife and two energetic sons in Red Hook, where he is involved in various community activities. When not working, he can be found sailing on the Hudson River or skiing in the Catskills.

Gordon Miller

Gordon has been on the Board of Directors since the late 1990’s, but his roots with TRI go back to 1986, when he started as a volunteer.  He is a self-employed home renovator as well as a timber framer, and has volunteered at the Clearwater Revival for many years.  He strives to inspire awareness of Deaf Culture and the Deaf Community, and is a strong supporter of the Mid-Hudson Interpreter Service.  Gordon also enjoys outdoor activities and camping in New Hampshire with his English Mastiff.

 

Marlene Taylor

Education & Training Coordinator, Mental Health America of Dutchess County, Inc.


Marlene Taylor holds a Masters of Professional Studies from New York Theological Seminary in Education and Ministry and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Black Studies from SUNY New Paltz.  She has been employed by Mental Health America of Dutchess County for many years and currently holds the position as Education & Training Coordinator.  She has extensive training with special populations including people with autism, communities of faith, and senior citizens.  A native of New York City, Marlene has resided in the Hudson Valley since 1972.   Marlene is a writer of poetry, short stories and one act plays.  She is married to Pastor Alfred E. Taylor and is the mother of three fine sons.
